2020 was a year that posed many challenges to all of us, as individuals and for businesses around Ireland and globally. We want to share with you how we supported our clients during this extraordinary year and reassure you of our continued commitment to working with you to protect your employees.

 Customer Centred

 
  • Our number 1 priority is the health, safety and financial security of our customers, particularly focusing on paying benefits and admitting claims.
  • We successfully ran our first payroll from home within 1 week of closing our office in March 2020 and our staff have worked remotely successfully since, no pension or claim payments were missed.
  • We have adopted a customer biased approach from the outset – if we cannot gather full medical information due to Covid restrictions we have paid claims regardless.

 Supporting Businesses

 
  • We have supported employers to maintain benefits for their employees based on full salary in struggling industry sectors such as Travel, Hospitality and Retail.
  • Supporting businesses on the frontline in the fight against Covid, we waived all underwriting requirements for a large multinational client looking to rehire retired staff to produce vital products needed by the HSE that were in critically short supply.

 Flexible and Innovative

 
  • We quickly moved from face to face consultations, to remote video and telephone claims and underwriting consultations. We have also started exploring remote access rehabilitation options and continue to develop our offering in this space.
  • We have and continue to adapt our products, services and processes in response to the Covid 19 crisis and the evolving new working environment is a post Covid world.
  • Most recently we have launched Long and Short Covid Rehabilitation programmes to support our members in their recovery.
