Retirement Planning Council

The Retirement Planning Council was established in 1974 as a not-for-profit organisation. It is an independent body, with a voluntary board of directors.

Retirement Planning Council aim
The Retirement Planning Council aims to be the leading body of resource that helps people manage the transition from work into retirement. 

To achieve this, the Retirement Planning Council provides support, information and guidance to people planning their retirement. This is delivered through a range of courses and seminars offered across the country for those approaching retirement.

Retirement course aim
The courses provided by the Retirement Planning Council help you understand what to expect in your retirement and how best to prepare for the exciting time ahead.

Course outline
The Retirement Planning Council courses are practical courses that talk through the lifestyle and financial changes that retirement can bring.

Course duration
Two-day open courses are held in locations around the country on scheduled dates throughout the year.  The Retirement Planning Council also offers a one-day one-to-one executive course and the option of bespoke in-house courses which are tailored to the needs of the individual or specific group in question. 

Life time support
The Retirement Planning Council is the only organisation to offer you continued support right the way through your retirement. Once you have a completed a course, you can then contact the Retirement Planning Council team with questions as they arise for the rest of your life at no extra charge.

Dublin, Galway, Cork, Kilkenny, Limerick, Waterford, Dundalk
